Isa 10:27 And it shall be, in that day his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Biblical Spices in Modern times Biblical Spices in Modern times

Ever been curious about the Holy anointing oil or the holy incense of the bible? Why did God choose these particular plants, flowers, barks and resins, for temple worship, also highlighting those botanicals and others through scripture.  What made these particular essences so special. Most of them did not grow in the Holy Land, but needed to be imported.

Although the climate of Israel is arrid now, I believe that the deforestation of Lebanon drastically changed rainfall in that region. So that more and perhaps varying plants and trees possibly grew in that region which may not have adapted to climactic changes. Of course this is only speculation as we are not living in that time period.

Here is an intresting observation; the Frankincense and Myrrh trees grow in dry arrid climates of the middle east, Yemen, Oman, and north Africa's, Ethiopia and Somalia. When comparing the climates of these countries today, they are very similar to Irael's modern climate.

Sorry for the inconveience but the spice pages and essential oils offerings info are not finished yet we are working hard to finish the site. Thank you for your patience.
